Damon Lane's life story is a testament to the power of redemption and the transformative impact one person can have on their community. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Indianapolis, Indiana, Damon's early life was marked by challenges that would shape his future unexpectedly.

Growing up, Damon was raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly to provide for him. However, the absence of a father figure left a void in his life that he would later understand as a common experience shared by many. The lack of positive male role models and guidance during his formative years would lead him down a troubled path.

Damon faced significant obstacles in his youth, including dropping out of high school and becoming entangled in a life of crime. At the tender age of 14, he found himself caught up in a world of drug dealing, a decision that would ultimately lead him down a dangerous and self-destructive path. Tragically, this path led to his incarceration at the age of 19, where he faced a daunting 28-year prison sentence.
However, Damon's story takes a remarkable turn
After serving time in prison, he was released on December 27, 1996. It was during this period of reentry into society that Damon experienced a profound transformation. While working at a local reentry organization in 1997, he began to see striking parallels between his own life and the lives of the individuals he was assisting. The common thread was the absence of positive male role models and a lack of integrity-driven leadership.
Fueled by a newfound sense of purpose and the desire to make a positive impact, Damon Lane founded Manhood Ministries in 2011. This remarkable organization was born out of his personal journey, and its mission is to provide hope, support, and guidance to individuals who have faced challenges like his own.
